Squidoo - Trying new things!

First I must appologise for not posting on this blog for a while, things have been a bit hectic. I have managed to grab a little time on my squidoo lenses though. So What have i been up to with regards to squidoo?

Well firstly I have managed to publish three lenses in the last week or so, they are virtual families review

I have been trying something new in that the tiger woods lens has been published on a squidoo sister site squidvids, there are many different sister sites to try.

I am also focusing on monotizing more lenses with amazon and commision junction products. I have found that I am not having much luck with clickbank so will test more options and see what works best.

I have also been testing a site called Redgage, a paid bookmarking site. Will let you know more about it later.

Boosting lensrank _ My progress so far,

I haven't been on Squidoo so much the last couple of days. My youngest son turned 1 on Thursday and we are having a family celebration tomorrow so my time has been taken up with preparations. The little time I have spent on squidoo has gone into improving lens and of course following the lens rank boost routine I mentioned in my previous post. I have noticed some postive results following this routine here is my current results.

The lensrank boost routine has seen my How to increase golf swing speed lens move up in to tier 2 so lets see if I can keep it there. I have also decided to try the lens rank boost experiment on my new lens Dexter season three so I can see what affects it has on new lenses as well as older lenses. My Dexter season three lens started out with a lens rank of 170,380 and has since moved up to 123,905. I will keep you up date on my experiment.

Boosting squidoo lensrank!

I came across this post on cashflowmommy.com today, the post was titled How to boost squidoo lensrank in 2 weeks. The advice on this page is extremly useful and seems very easy to do and can be used for brand new lens or on older lenses that could use a lens rank boost.

I am going to try out these instructions on my How to increase golf swing speed lens which currently has a lens rank of 14,451. Will keep you posted on my progress.

As regards to my other lens, I have seen some good increases in lens rank on some lenses and big decreases on others. My promotion efforts have been focused on one lens which I think shows in the recent lensrank adjustments. Heres were my lenses currently rank.

Squidoo lens labels.

I recently came across a couple of posts on the captain squid blog on the subject of lens labels. I have never really used them before but after reading the posts I deceided to take some time and set them up.
I now have labels for different groups of related lens, I have also made labels for the 3 payment tiers so I can track what lenses fall into the different tiers.

Squidoo goal setting.

I have spent today trying to set myself some goals in relation to squidoo and what I want to achieve. I am going to set my self small goals and re-evaluate them once I have reached them, so here goes:

1) To get one lens into tier 1
2) Maintain lenses currently in tier 2 ( 3 at present) and increase this number to 5
3) To try and make my minimum payout each and every month.
4) To make a couple of affiliate sales from my lens each month.

I will keep you updated on the progress I am making towards reaching these goals.
